Violence against healthcare workers

Emergency departments are places where stress is always present. It's a factor that can contribute to situations of violence, whether between patients, families or carers.The aim of this work is to analyze the causes and consequences of violence in emergency departments, and to propose solutions to prevent it. it is essential to understand the causes and consequences of such violence, in order to implement effective preventive measures and manage conflict situations appropriately. Training, awareness-raising, improved working conditions, safety, communication, mediation and sanctions are all ways of preventing and managing violence in emergency departments. It is important for hospitals and healthcare professionals to work together to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and nursing staff.
