VISIT[E] shows the federal art collection on the occasion of the German EU Council Presidency in the first half of 2007. The title VISIT[E] alludes to the collection's appearance in the Belgian public as well as to the various artistic forms of expression of the individual works. These include a wide range of techniques and media from drawing, painting and sculpture to photography, film and video. The volume shows paintings by Jonathan Meese and Daniel Richter, drawings by Joseph Beuys, sculptures by Rebecca Horn and Nam June Paik as well as films and videos by Tacita Dean and Omer Fast. This catalog is published in a German-English edition alongside the essays by Eugen Blume , Anette Husch and Beatrice von Bismarck provide brief descriptions of the individual works and offer the first overall overview of the task, structure and holdings of the Federal Art Collection.
