The heating cable switches on automatically as soon as the temperature at the thermostat drops below 5°C; it switches off automatically at approximately +13°C. The thermostat should be installed in the coldest part of the pipe and should only be moderately insulated. The 230-volt heating cables can be attached to the pipe with insulating tape or aluminum tape. When used on plastic pipes, the pipe must be wrapped with aluminum tape before laying the heating cable. The pipe and heating cable should be insulated with at least 13 millimeters of insulation. All heating cables have a long connecting cable and a waterproof grounding plug. The cable has an integrated thermostat, making it energy-saving! In combinatie met de isolatie zorgt de kabel voor een betrouwbare vorstbescherming tot maximaal -45 graden Celcius.
