Warlord Deliver Us (3 LPs)

De legendarische US Metal band Warlord werd in 1981 opgericht door Mark Zonder (die later lid werd vanFates Warning) en William J. Tsamis. Een jaar later verscheen het nummer Lucifer's Hammer op hetprestigieuze verzamelalbum Metal Massacre II en hun debuut mini-album Deliver Us (1983) wordt inmiddelsbeschouwd als de blauwdruk voor "Epic Metal".“Not sure if we were the originators of that style,” zegt Mark Zonder “But I would like to think we are a veryoriginal band. We have influences but do not sound like anyone else. I think anyone can identify a Warlordsong in about ten seconds. There is a certain magic with the music and lyrics.”
