Waste policies in the CTDs

Do local policies have an effect on waste sanitation in decentralized local authorities? This is the question at the heart of this book. This book analyzes the effects of local policies on waste sanitation. The method used by the authors is a field survey of 45 respondents living in 08 districts out of a total of 24 in CAY6. The data were processed in a descriptive register using Stata 2011 and Excel 2013 software, and tested for hypotheses using descriptive statistics. As the variables in the study were qualitative in nature, the technique used by the authors made it possible to collect non-quantified data, which motivated their hypothetico-deductive approach. Their results show that local waste sanitation policies do not improve people's satisfaction, nor do they facilitate knowledge of waste management. The authors therefore suggest that waste management should be transferred to the CTDs, and that the latter should initiate seminars to raise public awareness of waste management.
