Wearable Sensors for Human Health Monitoring and Analysis

The Special Issue "Wearable Sensors for Human Health Monitoring and Analysis" collects scientific contributions highlighting the expanding role of wearable technologies in the evaluation, monitoring, and understanding of human health. The included studies demonstrate how wearable sensors have transformed research and clinical practice by enabling human-centred approaches and fostering innovative applications across medical care, rehabilitation, and health promotion. Contributions cover experimental investigations, longitudinal evaluations of sensor-based interventions, and advancements in sensor design, integration, and data analysis. Emphasis is placed on novel algorithms and methods for processing and interpreting physiological and movement-related signals, as well as practical applications in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The Issue also showcases interdisciplinary approaches that combine wearable sensors with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and robotics, while addressing ethical, social, and legal aspects of wearable health monitoring.
