Whatever You See, That's Just Me! Birthday Party Edition: A Children's Picture Book About Accepting and Respecting Neurodivergence

Birthday parties are one of the best experiences of childhood. But not every child will experience a birthday party the same way. Neurodivergent children may seem different to others. But that's because they experience the world in their own unique way. In this children's picture book, we present the many ways autistic kids might do things a little differently at a birthday party. We cover communication, sensory needs, stimming, transitions, unique play, social skills, games and rules, food issues and many more of the common features and challenges associated with autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. About the Author This book was written by an author in the education space for over 20 years, who is also the mother of two autistic boys. The series was inspired by her eldest son, who has the confidence to be himself and let everyone know he is unique and has his own ways, but his ways are never wrong.
