One way to help crops adapt to climate change (CC) is to introduce them into new ecosystems. For this reason, wheat fertilization trials were conducted at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University. In a randomized complete block design with three replications, two trials were conducted: one to determine the NPK response curve and another to evaluate the effect of adding cations to the NPK. Fertilizers were applied as a basal dressing before sowing wheat seeds (Triticum durum desf). At the time of wheat tillering and emergence, 35 kg/ha of urea were applied on each occasion. The NPK treatment yielded the highest wheat grain yield, approximately 3.55 t/ha, at a rate of 400 kg/ha, and the highest total dry matter yield of 14.03 t/ha was achieved at a rate of 425 kg/ha. The nutrient requirements for N, P, and K were then estimated at 128 kgN/ha, 21 kg/ha for P, and 182 kg/ha for K, respectively. This book is intended for enthusiasts of modern agriculture in Africa.
