When The Dragonflies Fall

In a land divided by magic, where redemption is a deadly spectacle, a group of five young wizards are thrust into a web of deceit. They each claim their loyalties early and live comfortably until disaster strikes. A failed ceremony leaves a death that shakes the core of Hertune's magical orders and rearranges loyalties across the nation. With enemies shadowing every path, Dain, alongside unlikely allies, must navigate spies, forbidden power, tugged heartstrings and fractured alliances to prevent a war that could consume all. As the lines between friend and foe blur, and love and duty clash, Hertune's fate rests on the edge of a blade-where the First Flame, a power forbidden by the deity Carme, burns brightest and darkest. Will justice rise from the ashes, or will corruption set the entire kingdom aflame? Discover who will wield the First Flame, and at what cost.
