Why would anyone write an entire book about animals, pets, and whether they will be in heaven? Isn't this ridiculous? Isn't it far more important to talk about people? After all, Jesus came into the world to save sinners, not animals. The gospel is about mankind's redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That truth is central to the Christian faith and must never be minimized. So why write this book? For those who have never shared their lives with a beloved pet, the question may seem unnecessary. They may wonder why anyone would devote an entire book to animals and whether they have a place in God's eternal plan. But those who have loved a faithful dog or cat, cherished a gentle horse, or cared for any of God's creatures understand exactly why this question matters. They know that the bond between people and animals is both real and deeply meaningful. I believe we must step back and look at the bigger picture of God's magnificent creation. The Bible is not merely the story of the redemption of mankind-it is the story of God's plan for all creation.
