Wings, waar gaat het boek over?Wings is a story of personal experience with psychosis. Without claiming to be an ultimate truth, it shows how the relationship with spirituality can be healing on the path of recovery.Psychosis as a way to become a full human beingQuote: "The psychoses were not the disturbance. They were the attempt of my soul to heal this disturbance." Wings is an accessible story of personal experience, in which the author takes you on a journey with psychosis and spirituality. In her psychoses there were clues that exactly the contact with the spiritual world helped her on her way to recover from trauma and a dysfunctional familysystem. Without presenting this as an ultimate truth, she searched her way with past life memories, trauma memories and trying to discern between delusion and spiritual experience. She hopes this book will give space to others experiencing psychosis to share their experiences. Over de auteur José Hoekstra José Hoekstra (1962 The Netherlands) studied cultural anthropology. After finishing her studies, she met a totally new reality when she experienced unity consciousness on a meditation retreat in India, but became psychotic as well. Later on more psychotic episodes followed, as well as many spiritual experiences. She went on a road with bodywork and dance that brought on healing of early trauma and a dysfunctional childhood. She started to write about her experiences for a patients organisation, and later on for mental health platforms. Currently she works as a peer worker, and family constellation therapist. José has a son and a daughter. Voorbeeldfragment Klik hier om een fragment van "Wings" te lezen.
