Wings Over The Wastes: Squadron Leader (Book 1): A Military Isekai LitRPG Adventure

An F-16 fighter pilot grounded by a heart condition wakes up in a fantasy sky-and takes command of a broken wyvern squadron.Captain Jake "Viper" Hawkins spent twelve years living by military flight discipline: know your energy state, maintain situational awareness, and never fly into a fight you haven't already thought through. When a medical discharge grounds him permanently, he thinks his flying days are over. Then he falls into a new world.Dropped into the Kingdom of Valdris, Jake discovers a realm locked in a grinding war with the Rixian Empire. Valdris fights its battles with wyvern riders-and their entire air force is an undisciplined mess. They lack communication, fly in chaotic herds, and burn through energy with zero understanding of aerial combat doctrine.Offered command of a failing wyvern squadron at Fort Highreach, Jake accepts. Not to play the chosen hero, but because watching undisciplined fliers make lethal mistakes makes him physically angry.Equipped with real-world Air Force tactics and guided by the Skybound Record system, Jake sets out to turn scared conscripts, arrogant nobles, and bitter veterans into a lethal, coordinated air strike force. What to expect in this Military Isekai LitRPG Adventure: - Real Fighter Pilot Doctrine: Authentic application of F-16 combat tactics, fluid formations, energy management, and situational awareness applied to wyvern warfare.- Tactical Command Progression: A system that rewards leadership, discipline, unit cohesion, and strategic growth rather than instant overpowered magic.- Character-Driven Growth: Gritty squad dynamics, earned respect, noble redemption, and fierce aerial duels.- No "Chosen Hero" Tropes: Pure military strategy, logistics, training, and cold tactical logic against a relentless enemy.Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)Is this a crunch LitRPG or light stat progression?
