Women's Perceptions and Experiences: Regarding Reproductive Health Rights

This paper is part of a Master's thesis in Public Health. It provided an opportunity to thoroughly examine the recommendations of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD 1994) on sexual and reproductive health. It is worth noting that despite the existence of a multitude of tools and documents in this field designed to promote women's well-being, it is clear that these documents and tools remain largely unknown to the general public. It is also worth noting that certain reproductive health rights do not align well with the context of African countries, where women have little say and participate minimally in decision-making-even on matters that directly concern them. It would be necessary to conduct an assessment in the near future to evaluate the decisions made at the ICPD regarding women's reproductive health rights and to refocus interventions. This is my perspective on this rather important topic.
