Worth More Than the Score

Winning matters. Losing hurts. But the final score is rarely the whole story... I wanted the bag. I wanted the trophy. I wanted the championship ring. I wanted to win. And I still do. What started out as a book about how to win, became a journey through the moments that taught me how. In Worth More Than the Score, as former college athlete, coach, and father Daniel Dodson looks back on a lifetime spent chasing wins-and the unexpected lessons he discovered along the way. From an empty tennis court on a Friday night to a mountainside where one wrong step could have been my last, I began to understand something that only time and perspective could teach me. Winning matters, but becoming capable of winning means learning how to lose, how to get back up and keep moving, and how to recognize the lessons life is trying to teach you along the way. The score may tell how you played, but the journey reveals who you became.
