Bol This book examines the alliance between fiction and fact to analyze the role of History in Mimouni's fiction through a multidisciplinary approach. Transforming writing into a medium of revolt and combat is fully asserted in the work of Rachid Mimouni. Relying on factual material through a transgressive aesthetic, Mimouni depicts the post-independence Algerian reality, exposing the deep wounds of a society in decay. Known as the writer of disenchantment, he aligns himself with authors who refuse to bow to the falsification of historical truth. His trilogy (Le Fleuve détourné, Tombéza, and L'Honneur de la tribu) shapes an apocalyptic world where political upheavals, authoritarian despotism, corruption, and collective suffering are sharply portrayed.
