Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Xenophoroidea is a superfamily of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Littorinimorpha. In biological classification, rank is the level (the relative position) in a taxonomic branched ordering of living things. The most specific level is species, the next most specific is genus, and then family, class, etc. Sometimes (but only rarely) the term "taxonomic category" is used and more often the term "rank" is used-the ranking, or ordering, is from the more general categories to the more specific, with each rank subsuming under it a number of less general categories.
