In the Thematic Section of Volume 6, entitled ‘Technology and Disasters’, distinguished scholars seek to explore international law implications of how technologies are linked to disasters, both looking at high-risk technological activities and in terms of how technological developments have largely contributed to a number of improvements in disaster management and prevention, making it possible to reduce the impact of disasters.
