Yearbook of the Research Centre for German and Austrian Exile Studies25- Studies Cultural Context: Remembering Richard Dove

This volume reflects the research interests of its dedicatee, Professor Richard Dove. Its fourteen chapters, by experts in their fields, focus primarily on Exile Studies, particularly the exiles from National Socialism, and present new and exciting research. Other contributions range more widely over modern German and Austrian literature and history. They include, for example, the internment of ‘enemy aliens’ by the British Government during the Second World War and the experiences of the dramatist and future refugee Ernst Toller in revolutionary Munich in 1919. The combination of subjects covered here forms a stimulating and multi-faceted contribution to this academic field. Contributors are: Charmian Brinson, Nicole Brunnhuber, Jana Barbora Buresova, Rachel Dickson, Manya Elrick, Anthony Grenville, Merilyn Moos, Alan Morgenroth, Peter Pirker, Stefanie Pirker, Rachel Pistol, Ursula Seeber, Jennifer Taylor, and Jörg Thunecke.
