Bol The book Trajetórias juvenis, vencendo a 'pedra' no caminho (Youth Trajectories, Overcoming the 'Rock' in the Way) is the result of research that sought to understand the family and social trajectories of young crack users living on the streets and in violent situations, based on the construction of their life stories. The themes were studied using a systemic approach and psychosociology. Zones of Meaning were created to discuss the life stories. The attribution of meaning to this construction was elaborated in three Zones of Meaning. The study showed that these young people's searches continued after they had gone through their trajectories from experiences of family violence and abandonment to life on the streets and crack use. Even in the face of adversity and absence, there was a search for spaces of belonging in support institutions, such as the halfway house, which is perceived as a possibility for the realization of their dreams and a different future.
