In Zerm the Worm, his well-meaning and loving parents have to prepare Zerm for the outside world they live in. Still a "kid" worm, Zerm has to learn how dangerous it can be for worms. Once he gets that lesson, he can continue being the happy-go-lucky worm he is. In Speedy Spokey Spider, Sam is a gifted web designer, although his teachers don't quite know what to do with his unique method of spinning webs. They wrote him off as hasty and not trying, when in fact, Speedy isn't your average spider.
