Jeanne Guyon's Mystical Interpretation of Divinization, Volume 1: Her Biblical Commentary on St. Matthew's Gospel

In Jeanne Guyon's Mystical Interpretation of Divinization: Her Biblical Commentary on St. Matthew's Gospel, we read her most powerful declaration of the transformation called divinization. Jeanne Guyon reveals the Gospel of Matthew as describing the symbolic and hidden journey to participation in God. Guyon writes, "We are called to lose our will in that of God, and pass, transform, and change into God. This is called divinization. There are many other terms for this from the Mystics." She affirms that people receive mystical perfection and divinization, as their souls desire God and receive the infusion of the Holy Spirit. Jeanne Guyon's faith and testimony, filled with joy and praise, continue to help guide human souls to unite with the one she knew as Master Lord Jesus Christ. Her commentary on St. Matthew's Gospel, filled with symbolic interpretation of these biblical narratives, offers specific details on how to journey into life lived in the heart of the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
