Nubala Ifá Library-The 256 Questions to Ask a Babalawo

Two hundred and fifty-six questions - one for each Odu - put to a Babalawo, and answered in his own voice.Who is Olodumare? What is Ori, and why do we say Ori is the first Orisa? What happens in initiation? What does Orunmila have to say to the world right now? Babalawo Olodu Ifadahunsi Egundiran Obafemi Alladahanou, Akoda of the West, answers the questions a student of Ifá actually asks - plainly, from lineage and practice, without hedging. The book moves in six parts: the divine foundation; Ifá the oracle; the Babalawo; the Orisa; ceremony and practice; and destiny, character, and life. Each answer is short enough to read at the shrine and full enough to carry into ceremony. For the newly initiated, the student weighing initiation, the member of the diaspora returning to the tradition, and the seasoned practitioner who wants the questions asked well.
