Bol Professional practices in anesthesia have seen the emergence of several recommendations from professional societies regarding cardiac risk management. However, disparities in perioperative care persist, leading to increased hospital costs due to the overuse of diagnostic tests and delays in surgical appointments. The aim of this study was to evaluate the practices of Tunisian anesthesiologists and intensivists regarding the perioperative management of patients with coronary artery disease and to assess the extent to which these practices deviate from the recommendations. A self-administered questionnaire was sent to 250 individuals. Disparities exist in the perioperative management of patients at cardiac risk by anesthesiologists and intensivists. This underscores the need for widespread dissemination of the information contained in the guidelines, as well as regular updates through integrated training programs, and underscores the importance of making cardiac risk management algorithms and referral forms for cardiologists available in our anesthesia clinics.
