State of Groundwater Salinity in Hydrogeological Studies: The Southern Aral Sea

This book provides information based on hydrogeological analyses of groundwater in the Aral Sea and the Ustyurt Plain within the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. These data are based on the results of specific research, and the annual analysis of geological and hydrogeological studies in the region is explained. Furthermore, changes in the Aral Sea level, the influence of saline areas in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and environmental phenomena require geological research. We have attempted to study the impact of the change process based on the annual hydrogeological changes in this book. Having analyzed the results of each study, we presented the main considerations regarding the interlayer movement, structure, and composition of groundwater. By conducting such research in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, we will be able to describe new scientific perspectives on environmental safety and addressing the negative consequences of the drying up of the island sea.
