Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Wicked Priest (Hebrew: ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿; Romanized Hebrew: ha-k¿h¿n h¿-r¿¿'¿) is a sobriquet used in the Dead Sea scrolls pesharim, four times in the Habakkuk Commentary (1QpHab) and once in the Commentary on Psalm 37 (4QpPsa), to refer to an opponent of the "Teacher of Righteousness." The phrase is generally regarded as a pun on "High Priest" (¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿; ha-k¿h¿n h¿-r¿¿) and identified with a Hasmonean (Maccabean) High Priest or Priests. However, its exact identification remains controversial, and has been called "one of the knottiest problems connected with the Dead Sea Scrolls."
